Planning Math Intervention Around What Students Already Know: Intro to Intervention Pathways
Free
Tue, Oct 20, 2026, 5:00 – 6:00 PM EDT
Zoom Meeting
The most effective math intervention starts with the student in front of you, not a generic program or a one-size-fits-all sequence. Intervention Pathways is built around that belief. Drawing on ALN's High Leverage Concept progressions, it helps educators identify where a student's mathematical thinking is right now and chart a focused, intentional path forward.
In this session, you'll get a first look at how Intervention Pathways works, what it looks like in practice, and how it supports the kind of decision-making that only educators who truly know their students can do.
Participants will leave with:
- An understanding of how Intervention Pathways uses High Leverage Concept maps and progressions to guide instructional planning
- A clear picture of how short intervention cycles can be built around student assets rather than deficits
- Familiarity with the Intervention Pathways toolkits and how they support day-to-day intervention work
- A sense of whether Intervention Pathways is the right fit for your context
Intended Audience: Interventionists, Special Educators, Instructional Coaches, Administrators, and General Educators
