Zoom Meeting
Using a menu structure can empower students to make strong choices as learners that support their growth. Students work independently and with their peers to practice content at their own pace and readiness level. Leveraging a menu structure during the math block, the literacy block and/or during a separate intervention block empowers educators in the system with a structured way to add additional layers of instruction in order to meet all students' individual growth goals.
Some key takeaways of this workshop:
- Design a menu structure that offers students diverse, scaffolded practice options within a specific content area.
- Analyze student data to effectively differentiate menu choices, ensuring alignment with students' individual pace and readiness levels.
- Implement strategies for managing independent and collaborative student work within a menu framework, fostering student autonomy and self-pacing.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of a menu structure in providing additional layers of instruction and supporting the achievement of diverse student growth goals.
Intended Audience: Teachers, Coaches, Math Interventionists, Special Educators, Teacher Leaders, Curriculum Directors
