Using the lens of the All Learners Network High Leverage Concepts, this course will explore specialized instruction and interventions in Math focused on supporting struggling learners in the K-5th grade classrooms. Part 2 focuses on vertical alignment of Models and Strategies that support students’ development of important mathematics. This workshop also supports participants’ introduction and use of a Balanced Math Block to invite all learners’ exploration of effective models and strategies. We will analyze student work to inform instructional decisions and progress monitoring to help develop a robust understanding of our students as math learners. Throughout this course we will engage in math, use models and consider development of tasks for students.
This workshop is supported by the Vermont Agency of Education. You will receive a Zoom link the day before the event. Please contact ashleymarlow@alllearnersnetwork.com with any questions. Registration for these events will be prioritized for Vermonters.
