Specialized Instruction Part 2

This 6-hour workshop provides participants with an overview of techniques for supporting struggling learners with specialized math instruction. This is geared for Special Educators and math interventionists, however all educators are welcome. The learning outcomes include:

  • Learn diagnostic techniques for assessing sources for student challenges with mathematics
  • Learn approaches for creating greater inclusion 
  • Learn approaches for writing goals and planning instruction
  • Participants will be able to write goals and plan instruction with tools and approaches discussed in this course.

To begin the day will focus on diagnostic techniques, analysis and an overview of All Learners Network including High Leverage Concepts. Next, we will focus on planning and setting goals, differentiation in whole class lessons, and activities and tools to support learners.

This is Part 2 of a two-part series. It is strongly encouraged to participate in Part 1 on October 29 before you participate in Part 2.
